Providing the right support to an employee when they are unwell or injured is critical to ensure a successful return to work and an improved health outcome. For absences due to physical health conditions, employees who are enabled to return to work by day 20, have a 70% chance of successfully returning to work. This falls to only a 35% chance at day 70. These statistics are even worse when an employee has a mental health condition..
